The BAM/PFA Pleasure Party was set to stimulate. Taking its theme from MACROMATRIX For your pleasure, three new exhibitions on view in the museum, this multimedia event was filled with sensory enjoyment.


Students were able to see new video installations in the museum galleries, listen to live music ranging from jazz quartets to a cappella choirs and a live DJ, sit and enjoy chair massages, get a taste of "pleasure food," watch belly dancing demonstrations, try their hand at finger painting, and be painted with henna tattoos. Walls and surfaces around the museum were be swathed in faux fur, satin, and bubble-wrap, while outside hip movies from the 1960s and 1970s were projected onto the side of the building. The night ended with DJs, dancing, and the first-ever BAM/PFA Twister Playoff.


The BAM/PFA Pleasure Party was presented by the BAM/PFA Student Committee and UC  Berkeley Recreational Sports.
