BAM/PFA was transformed into a "garden of earthly delights" for the Paradise Party on April 8. Over two thousand UC Berkeley students escaped from academia to watch and learn belly dancing, receive free massages courtesy of RSF, and try on temporary tattoos from Henna Gardens. Other attractions of the evening included performances by campus groups INDUS and Satrang; danceable tunes from DJ Riddm; Bollywood films projected outdoors; snacks and chai tea; finger painting, art workshops, and a wish tree to make everyone's dreams come true. Meanwhile, in the Museum Theater, poets came from all over the nation to compete in a fiery spoken-word battle at the National Collegiate Poetry Slam.
