“I believe that society can only represent a fragment of the human spirit, and that another fragment can only get expressed through art.” — E.M. Forster

The BAM/PFA Student Committee's mission is to connect students with BAM/PFA. We are students of diverse majors and interests who believe that art and film are vital sources in the enrichment of students' lives. Committee members make a year-long commitment, meeting once each week and spending additional time working on a variety of projects and events. We also spend time learning about the museum and archive, finding out what goes on behind the scenes.

By organizing student events and informing students of existing programs, we seek to raise student awareness of the vast art and film resources available at the museum and film archive and to enhance students' engagement with the art and film programs at BAM/PFA.

Have a passion for art and film? Want to meet other BAM/PFA enthusiasts? Keen to get the word out about what's happening at BAM/PFA?

The BAM/PFA Student Committee comprises around fifteen Cal students from a wide variety of backgrounds, interests, and majors. We recruit new members at the beginning of each new term and select new committee members through an interview process.
