Cal's incoming class and the BAM/PFA Student Committee had a frightfully good time at the Welcome Week screening of William Castle's 13 Frightened Girls. With a full house and special guests master of ceremonies Will the Thrill, Monica Tiki Goddess, and Doktor Goulfinger, the screening was a hugely popular start to the school year.

13 Frightened Girls was part of the PFA series For Your Eyes Only: Operatives, Surveillants and Saboteurs in Cinema, and the Student Committee made sure every student in the audience had their disguises ready in case a need for any special spy work arose. This spy-meets-Gidget-style comedy had the student audience cringing in suspense—but not in silence—as the Student Committee hosted their first ever "Scream Test." Equipped with fake mustaches and tips on how to become a spy, some students began contemplating changing their major to the top-secret studies of surveillance and seduction.
